This section is dedicated to a couple wonderful artists who had contributed themselves before and/or during or even after the Chinese Cultural Revolution by way of producing hundreds of wonderfully designed posters, no matter of propaganda theme or not.
I must admit that I have obvious and strong preference for paintings in great details, vivid colors and reflecting the true aspirations & spirits of the people in the old days.
Throughout these years, I have paid special attention to collect posters done by a few masters, namely Zhang Yu-qing, LI Mu-bai, HA Qiong-wen and ZHANG Ding.  Of course, their artworks, although in hundred counts, still only represent a very small portion of all the artworks done in the CRP.  And I wouldn't claim that their artworks or contributions had surpassed all other artists of the same period although they have always been my idols.  What I try to present here is a small group of artists who have captured my hearts since ten odd years ago and have thus introduced me to the CR poster world.  Without them, my enthusiasm in collecting CR posters may not last till now.  My journey in the searching for posters done by them will continue until I can organize a special poster exhibition dedicated to them.

Notes:  This nice artwork by Zhang has several versions which showed some changes in the details.  Moreover, there is one earlier version published in 1958 which was marked as done by another not that famous artist, which I believed to be an original design inspiring Zhang to do this artwork.  Anyway, this is a great example of Zhang's creativity.
