made Chopstick Holder
Year of Publish: early 60's Origin: China Condition: used, Excellent Size: about 17 cm tall Description: This
kind of clay made chopstick holders were generally used by the peasants
in rural areas in the 50's to 60's. As they were daily used
utensils and made of clay, only very few of them have left till today in
such good condition. On the face of it is two chubbies, boy and girl,
holding a banner with 5 Chinese characters which means "The Commune
is Good", It was a very popular propaganda used in the Big Leap
Forward Period. The upper part of the item shows patterns of
crops. An unique and museum quality collectible at low
price. |
